Bubble Buddies

I absolutely love bath time for my kids.

Bath time is like repentance. They become clean and the house starts to settle down. Everything becomes peaceful and quiet. I love this time of the day.

Sitani the Skater-BOY

So everyone who has a little boy knows that they go through an "obsession cycle". One week it might be football and those little football guys, another week is all about cars, and then another could be an obsession with his transformer pajamas. Well, we are in the week of skateboarding. We have been here before and have managed to circle back around. Sitani is obsessed and wants to go to the skatepark every waking moment of his life. We have driven to watch a couple of times but it is always full of teenage skaters who know how to do these crazy tricks.
We finally made it over there when it was completely empty and full of space for a little 3 year old boy to be protected from flying skater-boys. He immediately tried the hardest slope (sorry I'm not familiar with skater language) Quickly he was down and looked up at me like he was shocked he had gone so fast and then fallen. He even got stuck in a slope pit and couldn't out. I had to pull him up with my arms. Marley had a blast, too. She was just running around crazy.
It was a fun time... now if we could just talk him into taking off those arm and knee pads. He has worn them from grocery shopping to cleaning his room. All I can say is that I just love my little boy. He thinks he can be anyone and do anything. I love it.

When I told him we had to go.. he said, "Mommy, the sun is going up and the moon is down?" I love how he thinks the sun goes up, up and away and that the moon is coming down.
We gotta try to explain the whole sun/moon thing to him someday.

It's BYU Time Again!!!

We are so excited for another season of BYU football. These two monkeys got to go to the BYU sports night with Gracie. Lets just say they were in HEAVEN. I have been told by Sitani (everyday) how he wants to get bigger and play BYU football. I have also caught Marley doing the huddle-hand thing with her dolly and saying "Go Cougars". I even overheard a conversation between them about how Sitani wasn't Utah but was the BYU team. I think there is a little blue fever going on in this tiny apartment of ours. Thanks Gracie for another BYU memory. We love you.

We love to go to the D.I. and find BYU shirts.

Sitani has told me that I am a cheergirl. I'm assuming that it means cheerleader. I can't wait to cheer for him someday at whatever he decides to do (even if it is the Chess Club).

Mark & Laura Moved- BOOOO

Mark and Laura moved a couple weeks ago. We are missing them like crazy. We went over to their old place with Gracie and it just wasn't the same. There was no Uncle Mark outside working on his motorcycle or something. There was no Laura inside working on some new project and there wasn't a cute little Jace to play with. I think my kids finally realized that their lil cousin isn't coming back (for a while). This was a following conversation.
Sitani: Mom, where is Jace?
Me: Jace is in Arizona. It is far away like California. Do you miss Jace?
Marley: Yeah, I miss Jace.
Sitani: Mom, I miss Jace, too. I like him.

Oooh, I almost started crying when I thought of all the good times we have had living next to Mark and Laura. They have been there through two of our children's births not to mention watched Sitani grow up. Sitani will really miss his favorite uncle Mark. We will have to visit often so he can always know how neat Mark is (and get to know Jace as he grows up). I will especially miss Laura (my perfect more wiser younger sister). I just love how she never looks down on me and my weaknesses and just continues to inspire me. They truly are one of the most perfect couples I have ever met. (non judgmental, wise in their decisions, and just good good people). Aside from all of that, we are excited for them and their new adventure.
Jace got a new car seat and was ready for the long trip in the night.
These two thought they were going, too.
Gotta love the U-haul
One last good-bye.

The Baby Announcement

Okay, so we messed around on photoshop and came up with a couple of different baby announcements. Just for fun, I thought it would be fun to see what was the favorite of others. Hey, I am an over-obsessive wanna-be-crafty kind of mother and I know it.

Randomness

I've heard some random things come out of Sitani's mouth lately.

Sitani: Mom, blueberries are for boys.
Me: Why?
Sitani: Because blue is for boys.

While walking through the grocery store.
Sitani: Mom, I wanna be stronger and smarter.

While laying by Eli
Sitani: Mom, whats he say?
Me: I don't know what do you think he is saying?
Sitani: He saying, "I WANNA PLAY RUGBY!"

and my favorite...

While driving in the car I overheard Sitani and Marley arguing about who is Bob Marley and when Sitani finally got fed up I heard him say "Marley, no birthday for you."
Of course, Marley believed him and started crying.
Apparently Sitani is the king of birthdays and can take them away from whoever he wants.

My "To Do" List

So I started my day very motivated to create a "to do" list and actually DO "all" of it (because that never happens). I got about half way down the list and was feeling quite proud. I even added extra things on there just so I could cross it off (come on I know you all do that, too). I got to about 1:00 in the afternoon and somehow ended up with the camera (Laura's camera, that is) in my hands. I found a cool lense in her bag and quickly started shooting Eli while he was wide awake. Well a couple hours later and a MILLION pictures later (all while Haini was just laughing at me and my craziness) I realized that it was almost 6 o'clock and I was really far behind on my "to do" list. Oh well, we can save it for another day.
Laura, I LOVE this lense of yours. I also LOVE this little guy.

Christy gave us these little hats. I knew they would be useful for something.
